The Homecoming by Law Blank
It seems the smaller I work, the more detailed I become…even if it is just a study. It was refreshing the other night to work on a larger canvas and loosen up without the need for pesky details. This small study helped me develop my palette and wanted to try painting a space suit before ruining a larger canvas. I chose this as my second painting in the childhood memory series because it is reminds me of a recurring dream I used to have all the time (for the better part of 30 years) where I am crouching behind a vintage car at night…knowing there was something menacing awaiting me, but not seeing it…or recognizing it.
Now onto the full-sized work.
